Kenpro Biogas Technician Training Module is an essential resource designed to equip individuals with the knowledge and skills necessary to thrive in the dynamic field of biogas technology. Module Description

Kenpro Biogas Technician Training Module is specifically designed to equip individuals with the knowledge and skills necessary to work as technicians in the biogas industry. This comprehensive training program covers various aspects of biogas system installation, operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting. Participants will learn practical techniques and gain hands-on experience to become proficient biogas technicians.

Module Objectives

1. Understand the fundamentals of biogas technology and its applications along with the principles of anaerobic digestion, biogas safety protocols and regulations.
2. Develop skills in biogas system installation, including site assessment and equipment setup.
3. Learn techniques for efficient biogas system operation, including feedstock management and digester monitoring.
4. Develop preventive maintenance strategies to ensure the long-term performance and durability of biogas systems.
5. Acquire troubleshooting skills to identify and resolve common issues in biogas systems.
6. Familiarize with emerging trends and innovations in biogas technology.

9. System Operation and Monitoring
10. Troubleshooting Common Issues
11. Preventive Maintenance Practices
12. Emerging Trends in Biogas Technology

Delivery Method

The training module will be delivered through a combination of classroom lectures, practical demonstrations, hands-on exercises, and site visits to operational biogas facilities. Participants will have the opportunity to interact with experienced instructors and industry professionals to enhance their learning experience. The participants are required to go through industrial attachment for hands-on, real-world experience.

Duration

There are short term and long term training. Short term training takes between 3-4 days while long term training takes between 2-3 months based on the number of sessions taken per day. There is also practical training (industrial attachment in nature), which takes between 1to 3 months.

Prerequisites

Participants are required to have a basic education, with some understanding of technical concepts and preferably some experience in the field of building and construction or related industries.

Certification

Upon successful completion of the training module and passing the assessment, participants will be awarded a Certificate of Participation as Biogas Technicians.

Module Materials

Participants will receive comprehensive training materials, including course notes, reference materials in electronic format.

Facilities and Resources

The theoretical training will be conducted in an ordinary classroom setting while practical classes will be conducted in the field during industrial attachment. This will enable the participants to to have an access to relevant biogas equipment, tools, and resources.
